Excellent opportunity for experienced procurement manager to join our leading company. You ill mange a small team and oversee the purchase of £1.5 million pounds worth of electronic components
The company
Our client is a sub-contract Electro-Mechanical Manufacturing Facility offering a quality service tailored to each individual customer requirement, offering a wide range of services. The company is committed to maintaining quality products through continual investment in the latest technology for accuracy of placement and inspection facilities, along with full functional test facilities. They offer a wealth of experience whilst retaining drive and enthusiasm for the industry whilst the Directors are actively involved in the day to day management of the company offering support and commitment to both customers and employees.
The Role
• Responsible for two members of staff
• Buying of £1.5 million pounds worth of electronic components.
• Negotiate the best price available for electronic components,
• Ensure parts are available when required,
• Identify the suitability of electronic components using data sheets,
• Use the companies computer system to evaluate requirements and load purchase orders,
• Minimise stock holding,
• Beat the estimate prices at all times,
• Compile vendor ratings,
• Encourage positive Morale,
• Discipline of staff in accordance to the companies procedures.

The Person
• Must have previous purchasing knowledge in the electronics industry
• Possess the skills to negotiate contract prices to reduce purchase costs.
• Knowledge of Sage stock system
• Need to have own transport due to companies location

3567 Documentation Engineer  
Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an experienced documentation engineer to join our client based on the outskirts of Colchester. You will be managing a small tem and ensuring a customer’s order is processed accurately. For this position it is essential that you possess knowledge of electronic components.

The Role
• Taking a customer’s bill of materials
• Cross referencing it to part numbers
• Creating a part numbered bill of materials on our sage system.
• Thereafter a full drawing package will need to be created
• Provide production manufacturing package converted from customer’s data.
• Oversee another member of the team


The Person
• Knowledge of electronic components
• Good computer skills.
• Experience of supervising or managing staff
